Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our fellow Legionnaires. The wrath of winter is upon us here in Minnesota, on December 25th it was  -21 degrees, but we did have a white Christmas. I hope all you snow birds are staying nice and warm down south.
I want to remind everyone about a couple of things the New Years Eve party at the Legion on the 31st of December. Dinner will be served at 6pm with happy hour at 5pm. Dinner is $18.00 each with a choice of walleye or prime rib. Redneck Radio DJ and Karaoke will provide the entertainment. Hope to see everyone there it is a fun night and we can all bring in the New Year together. On March 12th it's Veterans on the hill at the State Capital and the DAV is organizing a bus to take Veterans there at no cost to the individual, hope to see you all there remember there is strength in numbers.

2017 was a good year for the Post, we had many successful events including Poppy sales, the Memorial Day program, River Boat Days, Membership Dinner, Veterans Day program and the Legion children's Christmas party to mention a few. The Post has a 3+ star rating for charity donating. Resurfacing of the parking lot on the south and east side of the building and a cement extension was added to the north side of the building. The front awning on the east side was cleaned and is looking like new again. For 2018 our goals are to replace the bar stools and put new carpeting in the club area

DUES-DUES-DUES Remember your 2017 dues must be paid by the end of the year or you will loose all your consecutive years. 2018 dues are also due, please pay them as soon as possible if you haven't done so yet. It's been many years since our Post has been at 100% paid membership, lets make 2018 the start of a new era.

Have a great winter and thanks to all of those who help make this a great Post. Remember our goal is helping all Veterans that served our country proudly and to take a minute to remember our Fallen Comrades. Don't forget to check the calendar for all the daily events and specials. God Bless Our Post and God Bless America.
